Why Attend the International Institute of Mentoring
For many years there wasn't a mentor in my life. My mother was one of the Godliest people I have ever known. She really spoke into my life and helped to mold me into the Christian wife and mother I am today, along with my sisters. Yet even they were limited in their knowledge and experience. But, my oh my, how things have changed!! There are so many of Gods people who are willing to give of themselves to see the Kingdom of God advance. When I look back over the last thirty years and realize that many mistakes that I made could have been avoided, if only I could have had a mentor speaking into my life. It gives me great encouragement to help others avoid some of those same mistakes. You may ask, "What is a Mentor?" Webster defines a Mentor as a "teacher, a guide, an instructor." There are some things that you need to know about a Mentor:
Several year ago God laid on our hearts to begin an Institute for bringing women together who are interested in pursuing the call of God upon their lives and imparting into them through mentoring, the things that we had learned through our life experiences. Men and women who are sold out to God and who recognize and understand that there is a calling upon their lives; yet not fully understanding all of the "nuts and bolts" of what it takes to get started in their call and ministry. What happens at the Institute? The Institute will be a training ground for, teaching, ministry and impartation from a wide variety of ministry subject matters and will functions specifically as a vehicle to equip women. It will be a place where men and women who believe there are God-called and God-anointed for ministry, to come and receive instruction and direction from Godly ministers in the Church. |
