Are you ready to enter into your destiny? If so, the Lord has something to say to you about your calling in Him today!
The Spirit of Jesus is ALWAYS prophecy! He is prophesying; God is always saying something. These days, He is saying a lot.
As never before, we have to keep Jesus and the truth of the Word of God at the forefront of our minds.
I believe we are getting back what the devil captured and stole from us. I believe we are entering into a new place in our destiny, and I believe the Holy Spirit has the keys. We are a people of destiny and purpose.
Destiny is defined as “An event or course of events that will inevitably happen in the future.” It can also mean “living according to God’s plan for your life.”
You have a destiny in God–and it’s BIG.
You’ve to pursue it, because time is getting short. So many signs of the last days–signs that Jesus predicted–are happening now. Just look at:
- the extreme weather we are experiencing;
- the continual terrorist attacks; and
- the bombardment of nation against nation and people against people.
That’s saying nothing about the state of the Church in that equation!
God needs YOU to occupy your place in the Kingdom.
That’s why I write about “Permission” (part of the tagline of my blog)–because I am here to shout that God has already given you PERMISSION to do what He has called you to do, and to BE who He has ordained you to be. I am here to encourage you to step up and step out into what God has ALREADY empowered and equipped you to do for Him!
As you’re pursuing your destiny in God, I believe that there are five things that can cause you to come into a place of prophetic order–the place in which your destiny is fulfilled.
Here they are:
1. You MUST have the ability to HEAR GOD.
Abraham heard God say:
“Get thee out of thine country, and from thy Kindred, from thy Father’s house unto a land that I will show you.”
God never gives an instruction without a promise! After God told Abraham to get out of his country and away from his family, He said:
“And I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you and I will make your name great and you shall be a blessing. And I will bless them that bless you and I will curse them that curse you.”
God will bless you and you shall be a blessing.
Let me encourage you:
Whatever you’re facing, you can’t quit because quitting is not an option. YOU HAVE DESTINY AND PURPOSE ON YOUR LIFE! God has destined you for GREATNESS.
But …
You must have the ability to hear God.
Thirty-eight years ago, I heard the Lord say to me, “Leave your family, your job, and everything familiar, and go to Cleveland, Tennessee.”
I didn’t know what was ahead. All I knew was that I had a word from the Lord to come to Cleveland (where I still am today) and study music and ministry at the Christian college here. I knew I had heard from God.
2. You have to believe what you heard!
When Abraham heard, HE BELIEVED what he heard. A lot of people hear, but many of them don’t believe. We must remember that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So when you hear it, faith has to grab hold of what God says.
When God speaks, the enemy will try to talk you out of what God says. BUT, you must press in to everything God has told you–and BELIEVE! Something in you has to leap, and you have to believe!
3. There comes a season of denunciation.
There comes a time and a moment when you have to move out of the safe zone into the faith zone. The will of God will always stretch you further than where you are comfortable. God will always stretch you beyond what you are capable of to allow the Holy Spirit to show off the God in you!
But, there has to be a season of denouncing EVERYTHING that could ever stand in between your gifts/callings and your purpose. Jesus put it like this:
“Unless you forsake mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, houses and land for my sake, you’re not even worthy of the kingdom of God” (Luke 14:26).
If you feel comfortable with this thing that God has called you to do; if you feel like its a piece of cake, like you’ve got this … then it’s probably not God. But if He’s stretching you beyond what you can think and can do, then it just may be God. You have to be willing to disturb your “this” so you can enter your “that.”
Every step up in the Kingdom is down to your flesh.
I remember being the one to clean up after others after trips. I remember being the one that would go get the food and serve others. But that’s nothing new in the Kingdom; look at Jesus! He denounced the glory of Heaven and came to earth. He lowered Himself to serve even more than we can imagine.
4. Then you have to gain the courage to do what God tells you to do.
After you’ve heard …
… and you have believed what you heard …
… and after you denounce EVERYTHING that would even act like it wants to come between you and your destiny and purpose …
… then the next step is:
You must have the courage to do what God told you to do!
Its one thing to talk about it, but it’s another thing to do it! Anybody can talk the talk, but what matters is whether or not you are walking the walk.
I’ve heard that, during World War II, when the ships would go out to fight, that their commanding officers would give them what was called “closed orders.”
This meant that they could not open the orders until they got to a certain latitude/depth in their journey. Once they got to that certain place, they were given release to open the orders.
Wouldn’t it be great to know EVERYTHING that God is doing in our lives at every moment? But that doesn’t happen. We must remember that, sometimes:
God gives closed orders!
Sometimes all you will hear is, “Get up and get out.” Then we have to have the courage to actually GET UP, GET OUT, and DO all that He asks!
If you wait for God to give every answer to every question before you move into your destiny or purpose:
- You’ll never do anything;
- You’ll never grow any higher; and
- You’ll never reach any further.
Which means that, right now, you’re ALL that you’ll ever be! You’ll never grow or move past where you are right now–IF you wait for God to tell you everything before you obey.
If.
That’s why you have to come to the point when you decide. You have to have the courage to actually DO what God has told you to do. You have to do it!
God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. You can do it! Don’t wait on your feelings; walk in faith. Faith is not a feeling; it is a place of trust in God!
5. On this journey, you must focus on the promise–not the problems.
You have to develop the ability to focus on the promise, not on the mess that WILL come your way. When you focus on the promise, you say:
- “I’m going THERE.”
- “I’m not going to that other place.”
- “Nothing is going to stop me.”
- “I am here for such a time as this!”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) said, “Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men.” Chase your dreams–your God-thoughts and God-vision!
Always remember that opportunity is a visitor.
Don’t assume your opportunity will be back again tomorrow; move NOW while the door is open! Take the necessary steps to pursue the call of God on your life. When you do, you will get to watch God open doors that no man can close and close doors that no man can open (Isaiah 22:22).

I have felt like Ive been in a cacoon for the past year. Ive been seeking intimacy with the Father during this time. I desire to do great things for the Lord, and I know the word says your gifts will make room for you. There are not a lot of opportunities where I am attending. . I need clear direction from the Lord what my purpose is there .

Thank you Pastor Judy for being the push and the wind to

It may look like I’m too old or whatever but really I’m just getting started.
With hand picked people in my life to love me and help me stay focused!!
Thank You for this Powerful Word.
My names Darla , I feel like God is moving me into a new atmosphere . I was told after my deliverance that I have a calling to work with my First Nations people . I wasn’t sure how though. About 5 years ago God opened doors for me to get into an aboriginal treatment center to work then opened doors for me to get schooling to become an Certified Aboriginal addictions Counsellor . The other day in big block letters after months of thinking about it I got a message God is calling you to continue your education . So I’m going back to school to take the diploma for this course . I’m excited to see where God is going to take me . I believe I was in his will 5 years ago but I got sidetracked. Please pray the Lord continues to open doors and move me into where he wants me . And that I’m hearing him correctly !
Love this…Sometimes I feel so tired I don’t want to do a thing…but then I feel like I’m not doing my all to accomplish my destiny. God is not a confusing God, so why is this confusing??
Pastor Judy Jacobs’
Keep me in your prayers for strength and to finish what God’ has started.
Thank you Lord for guiding me to what I need to hear today.
So blessed Pastor Judy. Thank you so much. God bless you
Yes this word is definitely for me right Now ! God has been calling me in to ministry for some time now and I need prayer to take the bold steps of faith to walk in my calling pastoral and other gifts . I want to walk in obedience giving God full submission of my life i smoke cigarettes so I need deliverance in that area of my life so nothing stands in between me and my Lord
I suffered a fear problem from childhood and this has greatly affected me in life. I hear the Lord but lack the courage to carry out His instructions. I know if I obey Him more, I definitely will not be where I am now. I seriously need you to stand with me in prayers concerning this. I strongly feel the Lord gave you this message specifically for me. I struggled throughout yesterday and today on this obedience thing and yet didn’t have the courage to step out. May the Lord continue to bless and expand your territory as you help me through this stuggle… Thank you my Mentor.
I was at Farmington at Christian Life Church. I am 66 years old been living for God since 1981, told by Him almost instantly that I was to preach the Gospel. Have served the Lord faithfully since. Pastored twenty years. Again told by Him three years ago to step aside which I did. Been heart broken for three years, have only ministered probably ten times. Always went full blast for Him because I love Him soo much and thankful to Him for saving me, wanting to help Him help others. He has been almost silent to me for three years, don’t know where I belong, don’t know what He wants me to do. I live in a very small town with limited resources. Please pray for me! Again my heart is so broken, I need to hear from HIM!
Thank you Mrs. Judy! God continues to confirm through you as well as Mrs. Jaime. Trusting God was not easy until I fully surrendered and allowed Him to be in control even when it seemed as if He was taking His time. Your words of inspiration are always on time(His time.) Thank you!
Wow this speaks volumes to me. Please stand in agreement with me to do away with all fleshly things of this world, and to walk as God has called me to do!
I’m blessed and spiritually guided to do more in the Kingdom.
Thank you so much for your impartation. I’m very grateful to the Lord for having me connected to you.
Greetings Pastor Judy!
I am from Born Again Church in Nashville. Our pastors, Horace and Kiwanis (Kitty) Hockett and our congregation were blessed by your presence and ministry several years ago! This is an awesome post. Please pray for my courage and clarity for the next assignment. I heard God say I would need courage, but I don’t have clarity. I believe it has to do with television, but I haven’t received what I will need to ACT on by faith. So, I am waiting to continue to hear His voice. Thank you so much!
thank you so much for the powerful Word in season.
I truly believe God wanted me to hear this and it absolutely spoke to my spirit.
warm regards,
Rumbi

Pastor Judy,
My husband has always preferred your version of the song Days of Elijah. We were recently listening to it on YouTube, and I decided to google you. I was elated to discover that you preach!!! We started listening to your sermons and one thing lead to another and now I subscribe to your blog. This particular word, “5 Things That Bring You Into Your Destiny” was both confirmation and encouragement!
In September of 2017, my husband, who is retired, said he felt like he needed to be closer to his older sister. This meant a major life change by moving from the Dallas area to his hometown in Plainview, TX, (population 25,000).
I already felt that a swift transition was in the works, but wasn’t sure about Plainview, TX! I am a Pre-K teacher, and the lower grades are rarely available in small towns.
After researching the housing market and job opportunities for a teacher with 18 years experience, we prayed about it. In October, I finally told the Lord and my husband that I would be happy to move to Plainview, TX, IF I could secure a Pre-K position at La Mesa Elementary ( no positions were available at the time) and purchase a particular house. I submitted my application on October 22, 2017 for the 2018-19 school year.
In March 2018, a Pre-K position suddenly became available because the teacher was retiring. I was contacted on March 27, 2018, and had a screening interview via FaceTime on April 4th. The position was offered and I accepted on April 5th.
By this time, the house that I wanted was off the market, but I contacted the owners and we closed on July 26, 2018.
It took a leap of faith to leave the safety, security and comfort of my position (of 18 years) in a very large school district, where I was well known and well established. However, now that we are here and settled into small town living, our health has improved, and we even look and feel younger as we enjoy our new stress free, laid back lifestyle. We both are also beginning to experience “full circle” revelations as we settle in, here in Plainview.
District and university leaders are beginning to take notice of the innovative teaching methods that I use with my 4 year old students. I believe one of the reasons the Lord brought us here, was to help make educational improvements, especially in the early childhood program. I have future teachers, from the local university, coming in to observe my class. As a former paraprofessional, I have also been invited to speak to district paraprofessionals to encourage them to get their degrees. I believe there are many more opportunities to come.
We are amazed at how fast God is moving. We now realize that everything we have gone through over the years, were a series of set ups for this amazing season that we are enjoying right now…everything was getting us ready for a time such as this! None of our hardships and tears were in vain or wasted!
I just wanted to reach out to you to share this amazing testimony of God goodness and faithfulness, that is still in the making. Sometimes people of a certain age believe it is too late for God to use them. But I am here to testify that even though my husband is 65 and I am 58, we are entering into the most productive chapter of our entire lives! The Word says in Psalms 92:12-14, The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.
Thank you Pastor Judy for all that you do!

Yes yes yes!! Thank you pastor Judy. Please pray for me to always have the courage to walk in obedience to the Lord instructions.
I hear the Lord sometimes but seldom carry out His instructions because of fear and doubt.
Thank you for these teachings! I see it as God speaking directly to me. Thank you!
I asked God for clarity and direction. He spoke to me in His word. Jeremiah 42:10.
Then Isa 43:10….
I hv been serving in ministry for 2yrs as part of the pastoral team. (Voluntary)no income
I preach the word of God often but wasn’t sure if I was in the right place.
The confusion came when I met a certain pastor who told me that God showed him that, I was supposed to be in his church, that’s where God has called me to serve.
I prayed about and God gv me His word. That i must “still stay”But this pastor insisted and I ended up joining that particular church
Then God spoke to me and told me to remember what He told me.
There and then I went back to my church.God had told me to “still stay”….It’s not easy but there has been major changes since I got back. The presence of God is tangible. There is a hunger for prayer and the spirit of God is alive.Just praying for more of God’s power upon my life.God really directs our footsteps
Thank you
Judy, I have been playing the video of you singing Days of Elijah over and over again. I love it! What an encouragement that video is to believers to stay strong in The Lord!
Could you pray that I know and do God’s will in my life? Also, could you pray that I stay humble and give all glory to Jesus?
This word has truly spoken to me thank you very much for it! God bless you you are just confirming everything God is saying to me; so I pray that God will give me the fire of God, the Faith, the Will, the Courage, the wisdom, and the strength to make the decision to do it all and Total Victory In Jesus Mighty Name Amen
